-Engage in conversations regarding what the supervisee needs to do to change.
-Avoid focus on staff needs. Don’t say, “I need you to…”.
-Use Reflections to repeat back language that demonstrates an understanding of a supervisee’s needs.
-When practicing to show compassion, make an effort to demonstrate MI Spirit, Collaboration, Acceptance, and Evocation.
